Despite a cool start to Spring Break week the weather seems to be turning and beautiful days are upon us. It is time to recharge, perhaps spend time with loved ones or do some Spring cleaning. The Lone Star Board is working on our programs for the rest of the year. We have heard from a few members as to what they would like to see, and input is being used to develop our schedule.
In April we will have a one (1) hour CE presented by Carla Adams with ISolved titled, Ethics in a Virtual World, CE Provider is TAHU (32408): CE ID #128688. This is a great opportunity for members to get that extra hour virtually, now that three (3) hours per licensing cycle is required.
In May we are scheduling a one (1) hour CE presented by Misty Baker with Benefit Mall. Title, date and time to be announced later this month. TAHU is moving to the Zoom platform at the end of March. When Zoom goes live the program will be created and an email blast will go out for registration.
The Day at the Capitol was well done. There were four members from the Lone Star Chapter that attended. The TAHU Annual Convention is scheduled for late April in Fort Worth. Please consider attending and representing your Chapter. The agenda is packed with great opportunities for CE and timely information. NAHU’s Annual Conference will be in Austin this year at the end of June. It will be here in our own backyard. Please consider attending.
The Lone Star Chapter is developing the first ever Road Show for North and West Texas. Stay tuned as this program develops. We will be coming to a city near you.
Volunteers are needed to work on committees. If you are so inclined, please contact anyone on the Board as to where you would like to be of service. We can use input, fresh ideas, and assistance all the way around.
Our website is being updated and will have a fresh new look in the coming weeks. We thank Eric Johnson with ComedyCE for his efforts on this front. From the beginning he stepped up and created our website and is updating it before turning over the responsibility to another. Thank you, Eric!
I hope to see you on our next virtual program in April. Until then, enjoy the beginning of Spring!
Until next time,
Denise S. Villagran
