It is almost time to welcome in 2023.  What a year this has been.  I know we have all been hard at work with 4th quarter business.  It is time to take a breath and remember the reason for the holiday season.  Take time for the truly important people in our lives.  Our family, friends and loved ones.  Enjoy the moments and make memories.

It is hard to believe that September is upon us. It brings Fall, the beginning of holidays, open enrollment, and Fourth Quarter. For many of us Fourth Quarter is upon us and we find ourselves prioritizing our efforts all the while keeping everything moving forward. The same is true for the Board of the Lone Star Virtual AHU Chapter. We have had our growing pains throughout these last 18 months but feel confident we are on the right track.

Despite a cool start to Spring Break week the weather seems to be turning and beautiful days are upon us.  It is time to recharge, perhaps spend time with loved ones or do some Spring cleaning. The Lone Star Board is working on our programs for the rest of the year.  We have heard from a few members as to what they would like to see, and input is being used to develop our schedule.

Recently, the Texas Department of Insurance hosted a webinar on the new Agent Licensing Rules that will go into effect 9/1/21 as a result of legislative changes. These reflect a multitude of changes for many types of licensures including Health – required reading for all TAHU members. They recorded the webinar and it is available on their site along with a Q&A section and many other helpful resources.
