The Lone Star Virtual AHU Chapter has been live since February of this year. To date we have sponsored 6 hours of CE and recently updated the website with programs scheduled through the end of the year.
There have been a number of email notifications to members regarding the 50% reimbursement of the Virtual NAHU conference and the in-person TAHU conference for Lone Star AHU members. NAHU’s registration if $99 and I strongly encourage members to take advantage of this opportunity. You may not have attended in previous years due to time and travel but, now you can participate from your laptop, Ipad or phone. The TAHU conference will be held at the Downtown Marriott in Austin. It will be great to see old friends and make new friends. Go to the TAHU website and register today. You will not be disappointed.
In July we are hosting an update from NAHU Executive Director, Jane Trautwein. Janet will share her insight on Legislation on a national level and the goings on in Washington, D.C. In addition, I will present a two (2) hour, Ethics the NAHU Way. I promise to keep it interesting.
Thanks to the work of Tonya Booth we programs scheduled throughout the remainder of our year. Check out our Events on this page. In addition, to the regular monthly meetings the Board is working on a Road Show where we bring the Lone Star Chapter to you. We are in planning stages and deciding where we will go and what will be presented.
Lastly, with the end of the recent Legislative session the Meroney’s have volunteered their time to go to each chapter to share their observations of the session and forecast of topics within upcoming Special Sessions. Stay tuned as we have reached out to set up a date for a special virtual program.
Until next time,
Denise S. Villagran
President, LSVAHU
