On November 9, we’re offering our first on-demand course: “Introduction to Health Savings Accounts.” The CE class, sponsored and presented by Ameriflex, is being offered at NO CHARGE for those who sign up tor our short membership meeting that day. After a brief update from the Lone Star chapter, Tiffany Jones with Ameriflex will provide all the details about how this will work.

On October 12, Danielle Kunkle-Roberts will present a one-hour CE entitled “Medicare Enrollment Periods”. She will discuss the annual enrollment periods for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D plans, explain when people should sign up for Medicare Part A and B, and will cover the situations that could create a special enrollment opportunity.

On September 14, Mike Smith with The Brokerage, Inc. will present a one-hour CE course on Medicare Trends and Updates. During the course, he will provide updates on the developing Medicare legislative and regulatory initiatives, Medicare financing, and new Medicare healthcare models. We’ll also review how the COVID-19 virus has impacted Medicare and increased utilization of both Telemedicine and video healthcare.

Our July 13 meeting features two sessions. From 9:30 – 11:30, Denise Villagran will present “Ethics the NAHU Way.”  We’ll then have a short break, and from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m NAHU’s CEO Janet Trautwein will present “Updates from NAHU.” You don’t want to miss this.

On May 11, Reid Rasmussen with freshbenies will present a brand-new one-hour CE entitled “Coffee Wisdom: Lessons from Brokers in Cars.” Brokers are sharp, and they’ve got a lot to say. Especially if you get them out of their office and soften them up with a great cup of coffee. That was the goal of the video series, “Brokers in Cars Getting Coffee,” the inspiration for this class.

On April 13, Ron Byrd with Kansas City Life Insurance Company will present a one-hour CE entitled “Dental: don’t get caught with your toothbrush down.” In the class, Ron will provide answers to frequently asked client questions — from perio and endo coverage questions to the difference between amalgam and composite fillings (and many, many more) so you’ll be prepared and won’t get caught with your toothbrush down.
