The Lone Star Virtual Association of Health Underwriters is a virtual chapter for TAHU members who, due to geography, are not served by a local chapter. Just like other TAHU chapters, we host monthly membership meetings; we just do them remotely.
While membership is reserved for TAHU members in specific geographic areas, our online meetings, which usually offer continuing education credit, are open to all TAHU members and even agents who have not yet joined the association. Visit our Events Page to view our meeting schedule.
The Texas Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU) is a state member of the National Association Of Health Underwriters (NAHU). We are a professional organization of agents and insurance company representatives who care enough about their clients to join together with a Mission Statement “…to inform and protect the consumer by enhancing the professional growth of its members.” NAHU represents nearly 20,000 professional health insurance agents and brokers who service the insurance needs of millions of Americans. Founded in 1930, there are now 200 state and local chapters in the United States.
Board of Directors
As a volunteer organization the Lone Star AHU is grateful to our board of directors. 2021 marks the beginning of our virtual chapter (following the dissolution of three small local chapters), and our board has put in a tremendous amount of work to get the chapter off the ground. If you’re interested in serving on the board next year (or on a committee this year), please contact us.
