On November 9, we’re offering our first on-demand course: “Introduction to Health Savings Accounts.” The CE class, sponsored and presented by Ameriflex, is being offered at NO CHARGE for those who sign up tor our short membership meeting that day. After a brief update from the Lone Star chapter, Tiffany Jones with Ameriflex will provide all the details about how this will work.

Recently, the Texas Department of Insurance hosted a webinar on the new Agent Licensing Rules that will go into effect 9/1/21 as a result of legislative changes. These reflect a multitude of changes for many types of licensures including Health – required reading for all TAHU members. They recorded the webinar and it is available on their site along with a Q&A section and many other helpful resources.

In our October 2021 meeting, Danielle Kunkle-Roberts,  co-owner of Boomer Benefits and author of the best-selling book “10 Costly Medicare Mistakes You Can’t Afford to Make,” presented a one-hour CE entitled “Medicare Enrollment Periods”. The timing of the course, just three days before the beginning of the Medicare annual enrollment period, was perfect. The recorded session is available for you to watch.

On October 12, Danielle Kunkle-Roberts will present a one-hour CE entitled “Medicare Enrollment Periods”. She will discuss the annual enrollment periods for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D plans, explain when people should sign up for Medicare Part A and B, and will cover the situations that could create a special enrollment opportunity.

On September 14, Mike Smith with The Brokerage, Inc. will present a one-hour CE course on Medicare Trends and Updates. During the course, he will provide updates on the developing Medicare legislative and regulatory initiatives, Medicare financing, and new Medicare healthcare models. We’ll also review how the COVID-19 virus has impacted Medicare and increased utilization of both Telemedicine and video healthcare.
